China wants to strengthen the BRICS and compete with the West. Seeing this, he wants to involve other countries in BRICS under his leadership. On the other hand, about 40 countries want to join BRICS, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Indonesia.
India has made it clear that it will not join any grouping, while South Africa has also made such an announcement ahead of the BRICS summit. In fact China leads the BRICS and is headquartered in Shanghai. The organization provides an opportunity to increase cooperation and trade between emerging economies. China wants to increase its influence through this. They want other countries to join BRICS and they can reach more countries.
