BSEB Bihar Board: Practical classes have been made compulsory in all secondary and higher secondary schools in the state. In this regard, all district education offices have been notified four days in advance. Now in 11th and 12th five theoretical and four practical classes will be conducted every day. There will be nine classes per day for the main three subjects of the three faculties. There will be five theory papers and four practical papers. Apart from this, classes on one or the other subject from language, additional subjects, sports and library will be held every day.
Classes of eight subjects will be held daily in ninth and tenth. Classes in Maths, Science, Hindi, English will be conducted before lunch followed by Social Science, Sanskrit, Library and optional subjects. Sports classes will also be held for classes 9th and 10th twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Let it be said that so far the school timings were the same in the entire state, but subject-wise determination of classes was done by the principal. It has been modified. Now all the schools in the state will have the same classes from ninth to 12th.
After lunch there will be only practical classes
Theoretical classes of all faculties of class 11 and 12 will continue till mid-day meal. After lunch there will be three classes of practical subjects. It includes Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Practical classes of these three subjects will be conducted daily. Apart from this, sports, language, additional subjects and library classes in 11th and 12th will also be conducted after lunch on different days. So far the school routine did not include practical classes. Earlier only theory was taught, but now it has been made mandatory to take practical classes every day.
The number of subject-wise classes is also fixed
It is also decided how many classes will be taken for which subject from Monday to Saturday. In Class IX and X from Monday to Saturday, five each of Hindi and English, six each of Mathematics and Science, five each of Social Science and Sanskrit, four of Sports, five of Additional Subjects and three of Library are compulsory. This cannot be changed.
It will be investigated in surprise investigation
During the inspection of the schools it will be verified whether the prescribed subjects are taught in the school keeping in view the time table. Practical class may or may not be conducted. For this, now surprise inspection can be done even after lunch. Meanwhile, the students will also be asked whether the classes of each subject are ongoing or not.
Patna DEO Amit Kumar said that practical classes have now been made mandatory in every school. Schools have to conduct practical classes along with theory. Every subject has to be studied compulsorily every day.
