There is good news for students taking admission in the academic session 2023-24 in all the five government-funded Indian Institutes of Information Technology (TripleIT) in the country. After taking admission in one of these five TripleITs in the country, a student can study in any of the other four institutions for up to six months. Students will be transferred to the institution with six months of credit admission. The credit of the institution to which the student has taken admission will be added to his result. For this, a Center for Cooperation has been established for all the five TripleITs. Only these five directors of TripleIT have been made members of this centre. Along with this, the teachers of these institutes can also visit the other four TripleIT labs and study and research work as per their convenience.
Director Prof. Mukul Suthavane said that the country has triple IT government funding located in Prayagraj, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Kanchipuram and Karnal. First Gwalior and Allahabad TripleIT implemented National Education Policy (NEP) in all courses.
IIIT: Now studying law in BTech, students can also pursue BTech Honors degree
Center for Cooperation has been formed by merging these five institutions. If a student takes admission in any of these TripleITs and wants to study for one semester in another (remaining four) TripleITs, he/she can do so. He will study for one semester from any institution. Its credit will be sent to the institution taking admission. Credit will be entered in the result.
