People are shocked by the rape of a 14-year-old girl in Delhi. Arrested for raping his friend’s daughter, Delhi officer Premoday Khakha and his wife tried to run away from home but were caught in time. This has come to light from the CCTV footage. The girl was repeatedly raped between November 2020 and January 2021.

Pointing to the CCTV cameras installed near Premoday Khakha’s house, police sources said that Khakha and his wife Seema Rani had left their house in a car at 9.35 am yesterday. CCTV footage shows Premoday and his wife’s car passing through the streets of their home before the arrest. According to sources, the suspended deputy director of Delhi Women and Child Development was in touch with a lawyer and planned to seek anticipatory bail from the court. But before he could do so, he was arrested near his home in North Delhi’s Burari.

When the girl became pregnant, Premodaya Khakha’s wife Seema allegedly gave her abortion pills.

The girl, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, has said in the police complaint that Khakha was an old friend of her father. After the death of her father in 2020, the girl’s mother sent her to live with his wife in Khakha. She told the police that she was repeatedly raped between November 2020 and January 2021. The matter came to light when the girl was hospitalized after suffering repeated anxiety attacks. During psychotherapy sessions, she told doctors about alleged sexual harassment by a Delhi official. The doctors then alerted the police, who swung into action and took the officer into custody.
