Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO) scientist N Valramathi passed away on Saturday. She was famous for her iconic voice during the rocket countdown launch at ISRO. Its most recent and countdown came during the launch of the country’s ambitious lunar mission Chandrayaan-3, which created history by making a soft landing at the moon’s south pole.

Let us tell you that according to the information received so far, Valaramathi died due to a heart attack in Chennai on Saturday evening. A native of Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, Valarmathi was born on July 31, 1959. She studied at Nirmala Girls’ Higher Secondary School before graduating in engineering from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
He joined ISRO as a scientist in 1984. After this he played an important role in many ISRO missions. He was also the Project Director of RISAT-1, India’s first indigenously developed Radar Imaging Satellite (RIS) and the country’s second such satellite.
In 2015, she became the first recipient of the Abdul Kalam Award. The award was started by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2015 to honor former President Abdul Kalam. Condolence messages are pouring in on social media to pay tribute to the late ISRO scientist. A user on the social site wrote that I am very saddened to hear about the demise of Valarmathi madam. He was a true inspiration to many and his voice will be remembered during every launch.
