Satish writes, “Today’s meeting with Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the VIP lounge of Ranchi airport was an experience that will always be etched in my memory. The meeting at 16:45 was a very inspiring and unforgettable moment. Being an infantryman. The joy of the armed forces. I consider myself lucky, as I got to skip the long waiting queue of fans and meet my dear, one and only Mahi Bhai.”

He further wrote, “As soon as I entered the room I was struck by the genuine warmth and surprise on Dhoni sir’s face. His welcoming smile and open demeanor set the tone for an incredible conversation. The extension of hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary. ; It was truly a next level experience. Satish continues, “Our conversation began and I was immediately struck by his humility and easy-going nature. His answers resonated with me as I asked him questions about life skills. My first question was about how he Stays calm and composed. Life’s wins, losses and challenges. Dhoni’s reply was profound, but simple, ‘I just want to enjoy the moment, because I know this moment is the most important thing in life. Not again. Come on. I want to live it up.'”

He went on to write, “Going into our conversation, I asked about his pressure and handling life’s problems. His reply reflected his wisdom, ‘It’s up to you how you want to live your life.’ Let go of things that aren’t. Your control. Focusing on them hurts you and hinders your progress. Work with what you have now and make the best of it.”

Dhoni sir also shared an invaluable lesson on how to cope with the demands of our fast paced world. He mentioned that unlike the earlier notion of paying attention to everything, being calm and composed now involves selectively ignoring things. Because if we react to everything, our brain will stop working, because many battles are open in human life. He emphasized the importance of updating oneself for personal growth and maintaining inner peace. Satish wrote further.

He writes, “As our conversation ended, I expressed my gratitude for his valuable advice. The meeting was short, but it had a profound impact on me. Dhoni sir’s humility, intelligence and genuineness changed my outlook on life.” A lasting impression. I left the VIP lounge feeling inspired and blessed to have shared that moment with him. In short, meeting Dhoni was an extraordinary experience. The lessons he shared guided me through life’s challenges and always reminded me of his humility. That makes a truly great man.”
