The Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to the Delhi Police on Friday in connection with the alleged rape of an elderly woman in Shakurpur area. In the notice, the Women’s Commission said that the 85-year-old victim, who lived alone in a juggi, alleged that a man entered her juggi around 4 am and raped her. Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal and member Vandana Singh met the elderly woman today. The woman said that she was living alone in the slum after the death of her husband.
