New Delhi. Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has not been included in the Indian cricket team selected for Asia Cup 2023. Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel have managed to make a place in this team. Chahal is constantly being ignored in Team India. Last year too, he was selected in the T20 World Cup squad but was not given a chance to play a single match. Now wife Dhanashree Verma is angry after not being selected in the Asia Cup team. Dhanshree has vented his anger by posting on Instagram.

In a post posted on Instagram by Dhanashree Verma, he asked, “Now I have started seriously questioning. If being too polite and introverted can hurt one’s career and get ahead in life, should we all be extroverted and quick-tempered? In the end it is between you and your God and you are lucky that God is with you.

Earlier, Yuzvendra Chahal also shared an emoji on Instagram expressing his displeasure at not being selected in the Asia Cup squad. However, Chahal did not write a word.

Does the team management not like Chahal?
Dhanshree Verma’s post raises the question whether injustice has been done to Yuzvendra Chahal? Has Chahal been dropped not because of his performance but because of not having a good relationship with the team and the captain? At least it seems so from Dhanashree’s post.

However, not selecting Yuzvendra Chahal in the Asia Cup squad seems to be a surprising decision. Because teams like Nepal, Pakistan have bet on the leg spinner for the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will also have leg spinners in their squads. But India has not kept a single leg spinner in its team. Chahal also fails to create space.
