Reduction in LPG gas cylinder price: Ahead of Rakshabandhan, the Narendra Modi government at the center has given a big relief to consumers on inflation. In fact, the government has announced a subsidy of Rs 200 on LPG gas cylinders. It has been approved in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. More than 33 crore customers will benefit from this discount. Informing about the decision of the Cabinet, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the gas cylinder price will be reduced by Rs 200 for all consumers. Anurag Thakur said that after this decision of the cabinet, now the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme will get a total subsidy of 400 rupees. Explain that under the Ujjwala scheme, the beneficiaries already get a subsidy of Rs 200. So far 9 crore 60 lakh families have been given gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana. The scheme was considered a game changer behind BJP’s bumper victory in the 2019 elections and the Modi government is expected to reap the benefits once again.
