Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao formally launched the election campaign in Suryapet on Sunday, urging people not to believe the election-time promises of non-working parties like the Congress and the BJP. Addressing a large gathering on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that those who have not performed well for decades will be thrown out by the polls as they have completely failed to stand up for it.

“Our government is welfare oriented”
In his address, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the expectations of the public have been kept in mind in the implementation of the schemes. Our government is welfare oriented. We have implemented new schemes. We have implemented many welfare measures. He said that our election time promises have been fulfilled and they are reaching the people. He said that model schemes and concepts like Dharani, 24 hours electricity, Mission Bhagirath and Kakatiya have been fully implemented.
Chief Minister KCR said that innovative pension schemes and development programs are taking the state to the top of the country’s development graph. Telangana state tops in per capita income and per capita electricity consumption. He further said that new promises of some political parties regarding increase in pension and other aspects could not be properly implemented as these parties are not keen.
KCR attacked Congress
During his thirty-minute speech, the Chief Minister lashed out at the Congress party, especially for obstructing the prospects of the states. If Congress is sincere in implementing the welfare sector plan it could have provided 24 hours free electricity to the people and implemented all the welfare concepts which it is now promising to the people of Telangana. “You first implement the same promises where your party is ruling and repeat the same here,” suggested KCR.
Before the public meeting, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Government Medical College and District Integrated Collector Complex, District Police Office, Integrated Model Market and District BRS Office at Suryapet District Headquarters. Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari and officials, Ministers Prashant Reddy, Jagadeeswar Reddy, MPs, MLCs and MLAs were present at the official functions. The Chief Secretary emphasized the government’s intention to implement development concepts through the system and advised that the official machinery is in full swing to work for the welfare of the state.
