The film was directed by Raj Shandilya, who is known for scripting comedy shows. If the film was a superhit then Raj Shandilya has now come up with its sequel Dream Girl 2. Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana, Dream Girl 2 also stars Ananya Pandey, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi and Rajpal Yadav in lead roles. Let’s see how Pooja is returning to the silver screen after four years.

Raj Shandilya’s Dream Girl was a huge hit. When Pooja first hit the screens, there was a stir. This film was a super hit. At first Pooja was on the phone and as soon as she came out of the phone there was a ruckus. But this time there is power in the worship, but not in the story. Raj Shandilya didn’t choose a strong story for the film and that’s why the film derails. Overall, the film is very comical in some parts, while it is very flat in some places. Raj has tried playing on one-liners, but it gets boring at times. But where Dream Girl Puja seemed somewhat realistic, Dream Girl 2 Puja is pure imagination of the writer and director.

Ayushmann Khurrana looks amazing in both Karam and Pooja in the film. The way he has captured Pooja’s character is amazing. As soon as she gets into the character of Pooja, she sets the screen ablaze. He has played this character with full intensity. Ananya Pandey’s character is very simple and she does well with the amount of screen space she gets. But one needs to clean one’s hands in acting. Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Banerjee and Vijay Raj have done a good job.
‘Dream Girl 2’ Verdict
The music of ‘Dream Girl 2’ is average. There are so many one-liners, sometimes they sound good, sometimes they force. The actors have performed brilliantly and the film also gives a lot of laughs from piece to piece. But the first condition of watching the film will be that you will be able to digest the film only if you leave logic and reason at home and watch Pooja without any expectations.
