India is going to host the G20 meeting this week. All kinds of preparations have been completed for this. US President Joe Biden is arriving in Delhi on September 7 to attend the G-20 Summit. Before Attending G20 Conference Joe Biden is very disappointed with the news that Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend the G20 Conference.

Significantly, India as the Chair of the G20 is hosting the annual summit of this influential group on September 9-10. In which more than two dozen leaders from around the world including Joe Biden are going to participate. Regarding attending the G20 meeting, reporters asked Joe Biden on Sunday if he was looking forward to visiting India and Vietnam. In response, the US President said that yes, I am very excited.
Not even Putin will come
Joe Biden also expressed disappointment over Chinese President Xi Jinping not attending the conference. When asked about this, he said that I am disappointed, but I will meet him. Let us tell you that apart from Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not participate in the G20 meeting to be held in Delhi.
“Nothing was given to us in writing”
G20 India Special Secretary Muktesh Pardeshi said on Friday that India is awaiting a written confirmation from China regarding President Xi Jinping’s participation in the G20 Leaders’ Summit. Responding to a question about Xi Jinping not attending the conference and sending Prime Minister Li Qiang in his place, Pardeshi said that we have seen some news published in newspapers. But, we rely on written confirmation and we have not received anything in writing yet. We are not in a position to comment until we get something in writing.
Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is likely to visit India after attending the East Asia Summit in Jakarta. Earlier, in 2021, Xi did not participate in the G20 summit held in Italy due to the restrictions imposed by China to prevent Covid-19. Pardeshi said the participation of world leaders in summits like the G20 is usually communicated through a diplomatic note.
