N., a scientist who lent his voice to the countdown of several missions, including the Indian Space Research Organization’s (ISRO) ‘Chandrayaan-3’ mission. Valaramathi died of a heart attack in Chennai. An official gave this information on Monday. Valaramati breathed his last at a hospital in Chennai, an ISRO official said. It is said that ‘Chandrayaan-3’ was their last countdown programme.

After Valaramati’s death, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar and many others expressed condolences. Most people remember his countdown echoing from the Mission Control Center at ISRO’s Sriharikota Space Center during many launches. Former ISRO Director Dr P V Venkatakrishnan said, “Madam Valaramati’s voice will no longer be heard as we count the future missions of ISRO from Sriharikota.”

Good luck.” Chandrasekhar mourned Valaramati’s demise in his social media post. Minister of State for Entrepreneurship, Skill Development, Electronics and Technology said, “He was the voice behind the countdown to many of ISRO’s launch schedules, including Chandrayaan 3. Saddened to hear of N. Valramtiji’s demise.
He said, “My condolences to his family and friends. Om Shanti.” Stalin said that Valaramati skillfully handled a challenging task as a ‘mission range speaker’. Stalin mourned his death.
