New Delhi. Big news has come out for the New Zealand cricket team ahead of the World Cup 2023. The team’s star batsman and captain Kane Williamson is almost recovered from injury and is set to make the World Cup 2023 squad. The 33-year-old Kiwi captain suffered the injury while fielding during the IPL. After which he had to go through a long treatment process. During this time he also lost many important series.
Kane Williamson was given two weeks’ time.
Earlier, Williamson was given two weeks to prove his fitness. This charismatic batsman of the team has not played cricket since March. Meanwhile, New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said, “We have about two weeks to announce the names of the World Cup squad.”
