Today is the first day of the G-20 summit. Today is the first session on One Earth. This session is from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Then there will be a One Family session from 3 to 4.45 pm. After this all the guests will return to the hotels. Then at 7 pm all the heads of state will gather for dinner. There will also be a conversation between the heads of state from 8 am to 9.15 am. Earlier on Friday, PM Modi had a bilateral conversation with the US President. Consensus was reached on several issues, including AI and defence. A joint statement was also released, in which Biden praised India’s G20 presidency. PM Modi congratulated Chandrayaan-3 on its success. The United Nations Secretary General, who is in Delhi for the G-20 summit, said that there is no hope of ending the war between Russia and Ukraine at present. Both countries intend to escalate the fight. British PM Rishi Sunak is also in India for the G20 summit. Meanwhile, he said that both PM Modi and I want to see a comprehensive trade agreement concluded. Trade deals always take time, so although we have made great progress, there is still hard work to be done.

India is hosting the G20 Summit 2023. India has given the theme of this G20 event under its chairmanship as ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumpakam’ or One Earth, One Family and One Future. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has praised the subject. He has said that India got the presidency of G20 at a time when the world is very divided. He also appreciated India’s efforts to bring everyone together. The three sessions of the G20 summit are named after their theme.
Delhi G20 Summit Live: With the summit in mind, Odisha-based sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik and school students have created the world’s largest G20 logo on Puri Beach. This logo is 150 feet long and 50 feet wide. Saffron white green and blue colors have been used on the sand to create it.

A plastic-free Bharat Mandapam as part of an eco-friendly initiative
Most of the events of the G20 Summit will be held in the Bharat Mandapam. As part of an eco-friendly initiative, the Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi has been kept plastic-free.
Security has been beefed up in the capital Delhi ahead of the G20 summit. Seeing this, the police have increased the security checking. Pictures and videos have surfaced from Tilak Bridge, in which the police allow vehicles to proceed only after checking.
