Mumbai. The team of ‘Gadar 2’ is very excited these days. The film is getting a lot of love from the audience. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film is also creating new collection records. Along with the story of the film, its songs are once again on people’s lips. But Uttam Singh, the music composer associated with the first part of the film, is a little upset. His music was actually used in the film but he was not consulted about it. Due to which Uttam Singh was angry with the makers.
Anil Sharma directed the film ‘Gadar’ and has also produced the second part of the film. ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ was released on 15 June 2001. Made on a budget of 18 crores, the film did a business of over 133 crores. Now the second part of this film has released on August 11 and the film is once again getting the love of the audience. The music of the first part of ‘Gadar’ was also a huge hit and was composed by Uttam Singh.
‘Once in a while…’
All the songs of the film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ also proved to be blockbusters. Among them ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Le Ke’, ‘Ud Ja Kale Kawan’ were very successful. Uttam Singh’s music spoke volumes. Both these songs have also been used in the second part of the film ‘Gadar: The Katha Continues’ and Sunny Deol was seen jamming with them during the promotions. Now Uttam Singh has expressed his pain about him. In an interview to Amar Ujala, he said, ‘He didn’t call me for ‘Gadar 2’. I am not used to calling and asking for work. He has used two of my songs in the film. The film also uses background music composed by me. He should have had enough decency to have asked me at least once before using my songs.
After this statement of Uttam Singh, a new discussion has started regarding the film. Mithun has composed music for the second part of the film. On the other hand, talking about the collection of ‘Gadar 2’, the film has reached 411 crores. It is believed that the collection of this weekend film may increase more.
