New Delhi, the Asia Cup is going to start from August 30. The first match will be played between Pakistan and Nepal. All the teams have started their preparations. Veteran players like Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh will also be seen in this Asia Cup. He will be part of the commentary panel in this tournament. Star Sports gave this information through social media. India’s favorite commentator will not be seen in this.
Star Sports on its X (Twitter) account has released the list of veterans who will participate in the commentary panel of the Asia Cup. This includes the names of many stalwarts like Ravi Shastri, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh from India. Many cricketers including Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis from Pakistan will be part of the panel. Ramiz Raja will not be part of the Asia Cup commentary panel this year. Former Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower will also be seen doing commentary this year.
Akash Chopra will not be part of the panel
Former cricketer Akash Chopra entered the world of commentary after his cricket career. He was associated with Store Sports for many years. But in January this year, he left Star Sports to join Jia Cinemas and Sports 18. However, he has not revealed why he did this till date. Apart from commentary, Akash Chopra also runs his own YouTube channel. He will not be part of the panel for the Asia Cup this year.
