In the viral video, teacher Tripta Tyagi, who is also the principal of Neha Public School in Muzaffarnagar, was seen making communal remarks while asking students to slap a 7-year-old boy. However, Tripta Tyagi says she is not “ashamed” of her heinous act. Tyagi told NDTV, “I am not ashamed. I have served the people of this village as a teacher. They are all with me.” The teacher justified her action by saying that it was necessary to “control” the children in the school.

Tripta Tyagi said, “They have made the law, but we need to control children in schools. This is how we deal with them.” Earlier, he had dismissed the viral video controversy as a ‘minor issue’. She said, “It was not my intention. I accept my mistake, but it was unnecessarily made a big issue.”

A senior police officer claimed that after an investigation, he found that the teacher had said, “Muslim children whose mothers do not pay attention to their children’s education, their education is completely ruined.”

At the same time, Muzaffarnagar District Magistrate Arvind Malappa Bangari said that an FIR has been registered against the teacher.
