An incident that shames humanity has come to light from Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan. Here on Thursday, a tribal woman was allegedly beaten, stripped and paraded by her husband in her village. A shocking video of the attack shows a man, allegedly the husband, pulling a 21-year-old woman out of their home and screaming for help. The woman is said to be pregnant. According to the police, the woman was allegedly in a relationship with another man, which led to the attack.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot condemned the incident in a late night tweet and said, “A video has surfaced of a woman being abducted by her in-laws due to a family dispute in Pratapgarh district. Director General of Police has been directed to take strict action. ADG Crime has been dispatched to the spot in this matter. Action should be taken. Such criminals have no place in a civilized society. These criminals will be put behind bars at the earliest and will be dealt with in fast track courts.” The sentence was passed.”

Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra said the woman’s in-laws, unhappy that she was living with another man despite being married, allegedly abducted her and took her to their village where she was beaten and paraded naked. A top police officer said six teams have been formed to nab the accused and Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar is camping in the village.
