Indian student shot dead in America, body found in car

New Delhi:

A 26-year-old Indian student has been shot dead in the US state of Ohio. The student was found injured in his car. The medical university termed the incident as tragic and senseless. Aditya Adalkha was a fourth-year doctoral student in the molecular and developmental biology program at the University of Cincinnati Medical University, a local TV channel reported, citing a statement from the medical university. It was reported that Adalkhana died earlier this month.

On November 9, Cincinnati police found a young man injured in a car. Police said that around 6.20 am, gunshots were heard in the area. Passing motorists informed the police about a car that was riddled with bullet holes and a person inside was injured. Police took Adalkhan to hospital, where he died two days later. According to local media, no one has been arrested in the case so far.

Adalkha came to Cincinnati from North India to pursue higher education. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Ramjas College, Delhi University in 2018. Adlakha did her Masters in Physiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2020.
