New Delhi. The Indian team for the World Cup 2023 has been announced. The 15-member squad was announced in the presence of BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, star batsman KL Rahul, who missed the first two matches of the Asia Cup due to injury, has been included in the Indian squad for the World Cup. While the wicket keeper player, who has been in the news for a long time, Sanju Samson has been disappointed. The 28-year-old batsman did not get a ticket for the World Cup 2023.
Apart from Samson, the big players who have not made it to the Blue team are Javendra Chahal and all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. However, many former cricketers of the country believe that this is probably the strongest team that India could have fielded in the World Cup. Former Indian team coach Ravi Shastri has also supported this team.

Rohit becomes captain and Pandya becomes vice-captain for World Cup 2023:
Experienced opener Rohit Sharma has been given the command of the team for World Cup 2023. Along with this, the responsibility of vice-captaincy has been placed on the shoulders of all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The selectors have picked two wicket-keeper players for the prestigious tournament. Apart from KL Rahul, the name of young wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan is included in this.
