NDTV won 12 awards at ENBA 2023.
NDTV stands for trust and its legacy of reliability has once again been recognized with 12 awards at the 15th edition of the Exchange4Media News Broadcasting Awards (ENBA) Awards.
These awards include Best News Coverage (English), Best Coverage by a News Reporter (Hindi and English) and many more for Social Campaigns.
The most important award – Lifetime Achievement, has been given to Sonia Singh, Editorial Director of NDTV. In her association with NDTV spanning more than three decades, Sonia Singh has led the coverage, reporting and analysis of every major news story in India, from eight general elections to the Kargil War and many more. She is the anchor of the popular interview show ‘The NDTV Dialogues’, which discusses contemporary Indian and global challenges with thinkers from various fields.
Executive Editor and Chief Anchor Vishnu Som won the Best News Coverage (English) award for his extensive and painstaking news coverage on war-torn Ukraine.
NDTV’s Anurag Dwari’s scathing reporting on the ‘bulldozer raj’ outrage in Khargone and Sreeja MS’s bold reporting on the unrest in Sri Lanka, which often brought him to tears, won him the News Reporter Award (Hindi and English categories respectively) winning the Best Coverage Award.
Apart from this, NDTV’s social campaigns are also laden with awards. The ‘NDTV Dettol Banega Swasht Bharat’ campaign is now entering its historic 10th season. It won three awards for Best Campaign for Social Concern (English), Best Program on Social Issue (English) and Best Promo (English). ‘Banega Swasht Bharat’ started in 2014 as a campaign to further the Swachh Bharat Mission and then focused on spreading awareness about the importance of health for all.
In addition, NDTV’s initiative ‘Justice for Every Child’ and Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation for creating Child Marriage Free India also won three awards. The three awards won by the campaign include Best Talk Show (Hindi), Best Program on Social Issue (Hindi) and Best Campaign for Social Concern (Hindi).
‘Mesmerizing Maharashtra’, a series showcasing the lesser-known travel destinations of Maharashtra, won the award for Best Coverage on Travel (English). Harsh Davar received his second consecutive award in the Best Video Editor category for the series.
