Neeraj Chopra creates history, equals shooter Abhinav Bindra

New Delhi. The finals of the World Athletics Championships 2023 are over. India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra maintained his reign in the men’s javelin final. Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the last World Championship which was held in Eugene, USA. But this time he has created history. Neeraj Chopra, who had his best performance of the season in Round-3, played his dunk in the final as well and tied shooter Abhinav Bindra by winning the gold medal.

Let us tell you that it was the year 2006 when Abhinav Bindra won first place in 10m air rifle competition in Zagreb. At the same time, in 2008, he won an Olympic gold medal in the individual event, becoming the first Indian to achieve this feat. Now Neeraj Chopra has also repeated history. Neeraj Chopra became the second Indian to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics and World Championships. He faced Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem in the final.

Sartaj happened in the second innings

Neeraj Chopra’s first game failed during the finals, after which everyone held their breath. But in the second game, the golden boy showed such strength that this game proved to be the king till the end. He threw the javelin 88.17 meters in the event and was ranked No.1 till the end. Second was Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem who threw the javelin 87.72 meters in the final.
