On Mayawati’s question, Sharad Pawar said, “BJP or opposition alliance… I don’t know who she is with.”

Mayawati has said that her party will fight all this year’s assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections alone.

Mumbai:

Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday said there is a question mark over who Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati is with and there is speculation that she will form an alliance with the BJP. Sharad Pawar was asked a question about the alliance’s opinion on Mayawati at a press conference ahead of an important meeting of the opposition alliance (India) starting in Mumbai on Thursday. Responding to this question, he said, “There is a question mark over who Mayawati is with. There are speculations that she is with the BJP. I am not saying this is true, but there is a need for clarification.”

At the same time, Mayawati on Thursday said that she is neither with India nor with the NDA alliance. He also said that although everyone is eager to form an alliance with the BSP, if they do not do so, the opposition parties accuse them of forming an alliance with the BJP.

On Thursday, Mayawati wrote in several tweets that the NDA and the Bharatiya Janata Party are mostly parties with anti-poor, racist, communal, pro-wealth and capitalist policies, against which the BSP is constantly fighting. Therefore, there is no question of contesting elections by forming an alliance with them.

He wrote, “BSP, like in the year 2007, will fight the next Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in four states alone and organize crores of broken/scattered neglected people of the society on the basis of mutual brotherhood. Opponents.” He has also appealed to the media not to make any kind of false speculations.

The BSP and its arch-rival Samajwadi Party announced an alliance for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In this, Mayawati’s party managed to win 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, while Akhilesh Yadav’s SP got only five seats. Soon after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mayawati broke the alliance with the SP and said that her party would contest future elections alone.

Presently the Samajwadi Party is part of the Alliance of India.
