In fact, Neelu was part of the Indian team in the International Dragon Boat Competition held in Thailand. Meanwhile, the Indian team won the bronze medal by defeating Australia. Neelu said that earlier she was a rugby player, but due to weight problems, she came to know about dragon boat races with the help of her coach. After this, he prepared for the sport and captured the bronze medal with his team at the International Dragon Boat Championship held in Thailand.
Neelu told Local 18 that the Dragon Boat Race is a type of boat race, which is also included in the Asian Games. Apart from this, this dragon boat race game is played on many international forums. He said that earlier the players associated with this sport used to practice in Motihari’s Motihari. Meanwhile, he was selected in the Indian team in the International Dragon Boat Competition. After this, a practice session was held in Kolkata as well. From there she went to Thailand to compete. The team has won the bronze medal by performing brilliantly. Neelu said that Dragon Boat is a popular game and is widely played by people abroad.
Went to Thailand to ask for donations
Neelu said that currently their financial condition is very bad. He had to ask for donations from many people to go play in Pattaya, Thailand. With the money of this donation, she could reach Pattaya, Thailand. Neelu said that she will continue the sport and try to bring home a gold medal for India in dragon boat. Also said that it was my dream to play for the Indian team, which has come true.

Neelu, who was part of the bronze medal winning Indian team, also met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister congratulated Neelu on her victory and assured her of respect for the sport and a government job.
