Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday to attend the 15th BRICS Summit. PM Modi was given a red carpet welcome at Waterkloof Air Base. The Vice President of South Africa welcomed Modi. A traditional tribal dance was also performed to welcome PM Modi. Meanwhile, the PM also met people of Indian origin present there. Meanwhile, Modi greeted people and shook hands.

Apart from India, the BRICS group also includes China, Russia, South Africa and Brazil. Chinese President Xi Jinping has also arrived in Johannesburg to attend the BRICS Summit. 45 guest countries will participate in this meeting
According to a report by news agency ‘ANI’, 45 guest countries can participate in this meeting. It includes Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan and Iran. The focal point of this meeting will be group expansion. However, there is no consensus on this issue among its five member states. Africa outreach and BRICS plus dialogue will be followed by the summit. Other countries invited by South Africa will be included in this.
PM Modi will go to Athens after South Africa
After South Africa, PM Modi will visit Athens on August 25 at the invitation of his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis. “I will have the honor of becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Greece in the last 40 years,” he said.
