President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou conferred “The Grand Cross of the Order of Honour” on PM Narendra Modi. Please state that the Order of Honor was established in 1975. The Grand Cross of the Order of Honor is awarded by the President of Greece to Prime Ministers and dignitaries who, due to their special status, have contributed to the progress of Greece.

A warm welcome to the visiting Prime Minister of Greece
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis extended a warm welcome to Modi after his meeting with President Katrina Sakellaropoulou. After this, the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties. Earlier, Modi had told the Greek President that the success of Chandrayaan-3 is a victory not only for India but for the entire humanity.
Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude for the good wishes given by the President of Greece on the success of the Chandrayaan mission.
Overseas Indians gave a warm welcome to the PM holding tricolors
Earlier, to the beat of drums and chants of ‘Vande Mataram’, a large number of tourist Indians gathered outside his hotel in Athens to give Prime Minister Modi a warm welcome. Many people standing there carrying tricolors took selfies with the Prime Minister, took autographs from him and shook hands with him. PM Modi began his program in Greece by paying tributes at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens.
PM Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Greece after 40 years. The last high-level visit to Greece was in September 1983, when the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi visited the country.
