The 69th National Film Awards proved to be extremely beneficial for Telugu cinema. Films like RRR and Pushpa: The Rise won awards in various categories and brought pride to the entire Telugu film industry. RRR was awarded in 6 categories. It also includes the National Award for Best Film that Entertains All. Alia Bhatt, her lead actress from RRR, also won big at this year’s National Awards. She won the Best Actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi. He shared the award with Kriti Sanon who received the award for her performance in the film Mimi. Rajamouli congratulated Alia and also tweeted a dialogue from Gangubai Kathiawadi. This year Allu Arjun was nominated for the Best Actor award for his performance in Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Rajamouli also congratulated Allu Arjun on his big win and wrote, “Pushpath… thagade le. Sablai ho bunny…” It cannot be denied that Rajamouli has emerged as one of the faces of Indian cinema.
