With a 10-wicket win over Nepal, the Indian team has reached the Super-4 of the Asia Cup 2023. India have won 10 wickets in ODIs eight times before and this was India’s 9th 10 wicket win. Till the morning of 4 September 2023, there was no captain in the One Day Internationals of Indian cricket who had led the team to 10-wicket wins twice under his captaincy, but Rohit Sharma has achieved this feat. Under the captaincy of Rohit, the Indian team has won by 10 wickets for the second time. Earlier under Rohit’s captaincy, India won by 10 wickets against England in July 2022 at the Oval ground.

India won by 10 wickets for the first time in 1975, when India won the match by 10 wickets against East Africa. Srinivas Venkataraghavan, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Azharuddin, Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, KL Rahul India have won ODIs by 10 wickets once under Indian captaincy, while India have achieved this feat twice under Rohit’s captaincy.
