New Delhi. BAPS organized a special program called ‘Ghar Se Ghar Tak’ at BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in Robbinsville, New Jersey. The program said that in an ever-changing world, the values we inculcate in our families are our lasting legacy. It shows the strength and complexity of the father. Prerna Mohotsav focuses on how every parent can inculcate morals and values in their child that will ensure their success.
The program featured speeches and skits emphasizing the importance of family values in raising children. It was divided into two parts, the first assembly was headed by women. Through skits and speeches, the program highlighted competing priorities and how to overcome misunderstandings that create challenges in parents’ lives.
Pujya Vivekjivandas Swami said that parents are the emotional base of the home and the home is the foundation of any society. He recalled that Pramukhswami Maharaj had outlined three basic pillars for child rearing, health, education and values.
Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s oft-repeated message, echoed by Mahant Swami Maharaj: “A family that eats together, plays together and prays together, lives together” does a valuable job. The most impactful lesson for parents was not to compare their child to others.
The ceremony concluded with Mahant Swami Maharaj’s speech on the most important and universal lesson a parent can learn, “The greatest responsibility is to give unconditional love and affection to your children, and pass it on to others as a norm.” Cannot be accomplished. When planting a tree, the right kind of care can help its growth, but twisting the roots stops its growth indefinitely.
