Stock market, Sensex and Nifty started trading with green signal

Morning trade on Tuesday started with gains in stock markets. Both Sensex and Nifty were trading in the green. Sensex is trading up 173 points to 65170 and Nifty up 51 points to 19357. In Nifty 50, 41 stocks are seeing advances while 9 stocks are seeing declines. Here the stocks which are seeing a boom include the shares of UPL, JSWSTEEL, POWERGRID, TATASTEEL, CIPLA while the stocks which are seeing a decline include the shares of JIOFIN, RELIANCE, APOLLOHOSP, DREDDY, TATACONSUM.

Significantly, after two trading sessions in the domestic stock market on Monday, momentum returned again due to strong trend in global markets and buying in HDFC Bank. BSE’s 30-share benchmark Sensex ended up 110.09 points, or 0.17 per cent, at 64,996.60. It had climbed up to 326.94 points at one stage during the trading.

The standard index Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also registered an increase of 40.25 points or 0.21 percent. It closed at 19,306.05 points at the end of trading. Among the Sensex companies, Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel and State Bank of India were the major gainers. On the other hand, Reliance Industries, Nestlé, Titan, HCL Technologies, ITC and Tata Motors declined.

In the broader market, BSE smallcap rose 0.67 percent while midcap climbed 0.59 percent.
