During Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) invited Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chief Roger Binny and Vice-President Rajeev Shukla to visit Pakistan. Roger Binny and Rajiv Shukla went to Pakistan on invitation of PCB. After returning from Pakistan, Roger Binny praised the hospitality of the neighboring country. Roger Binny said that everywhere in Pakistan he was made to feel like a king and taken care of. Asia Cup 2023 was to be held in Pakistan but BCCI refused to send its team to play in Pakistan. Later, all the boards agreed to hold the Asia Cup 2023 under the hybrid model. After returning from Pakistan, Binny also said that it was not up to the BCCI but the government to decide when a bilateral series should be played between the two countries.

Apart from this, Roger Binny also said that cricket relations between the two countries are good and Pakistan is a good team. Roger Binny and Rajiv Shukla went to Pakistan on September 4 and returned from there on September 6. This is the first time in the last 17 years that Pakistan has made such a trip to the BCCI. “We were taken care of there and everything was done to make us feel comfortable,” Binney said. It was an absolutely amazing experience.

Binny continued, ‘When we played a Test match here in 1984, we were hosted in the same way again. We were looked after like kings. So it was a very good time for us. During this time we met Pakistani officials, they were very happy with our visit and so were we.
