Sunny’s response to the film being called anti-Pakistan
Sunny Deol said this in an interview given to BBC Asian Network. He said, ‘Look this is fundamentally a political matter. It is not really a matter raised by the common people as there is humanity as a whole. Here or there (Pakistan), all are together. You can see even throughout the film, I never tried to put anyone down because I don’t believe in putting anyone down. Tara Singh is not that kind of character.
Advised the leaders
When there is tension between the two countries over the release of ‘Gadar 2’, Sunny Deol said, ‘We all want peace and no one wants such things. It’s time politicians stop seeing the world through the lens of votes because everyone does it for votes… Don’t take this movie so seriously. Cinema is for entertainment. There is no other point in this. Obviously some things in cinema are exaggerated because you want the characters to be like that. You will have fun if it doesn’t show like that. If someone is bad, you want to call them bad. If someone is good, you want to see them good. This is how it is in cinema.
Let us tell you that ‘Gadar 2’ has been directed by Anil Sharma. This time the story is woven around 1971. Tara Singh crosses the border to Pakistan to save her son.
