Teacher’s Day Speech: Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September every year in our country. This day Dr. Sarvapalli is celebrated in honor of Radhakrishnan, who was born on 5 September 1888. Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan is a great thinker, philosopher and has been the first Vice President and second President of the country, not only that, he has also been awarded the Bharat Ratna. This day is a day to pay respect to our gurus and teachers. As you all know that on Teacher’s Day Dr. Sarvapalli is celebrated as the birthday of Radhakrishnan. From 1952-1962, he served the country as the country’s first Vice President and then as the country’s President from 1962-1967. But this is his political career. Earlier he was a great philosopher, not only that he has also held the position of Assistant Professor in many reputed Indian and foreign universities. His work as a teacher was brilliant, he played an important role in shaping the modern Indian educational system, his contribution cannot be forgotten. This is the reason why September 5 was declared as Teacher’s Day in his honour.
