Teacher’s Day Speech 5 September: Teacher’s Day 2023: Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5 September every year. On this day in 1888 Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was born. It is very important for the new generation to know Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. In fact, Dr. Radhakrishnan was the first Vice President and President of India, but his biography does not end there, before this he was also a great philosopher, thinker and teacher. Apart from his career in politics a good teacher was hidden in him, he knew very well that a good society can be shaped only through a good education system. This was the reason why every year his birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was born in a small village in Madras. He did his Masters in Philosophy from Madras Presidency College. Not only this, he also wrote many books on philosophy. Search for Truth and Indian Philosophy are some of his books. From 1946 to 1952, he had the opportunity to represent India in UNESCO. From 1949 to 1952, he worked as a brand ambassador in Soviet Russia. After this, in 1952, he was made the first Vice President of the country and then between 1962 to 1967, he was made the President of India.
