Let us tell you that 10 seats in SSB were taken vacant by the central government under body building sports quota for players who play national sports. Only the rest of the players could meet the criteria. He is 21-year-old Yashwant Kumar, a resident of Mirganj, Arah.
Preparation for part time job
The financial condition of Yashwant Kumar’s household is poor, due to which on one hand he works to earn money to spend on sports and on the other hand he practices body building. Started body building training from 2017 and developed body by working hard for two years. Started participating in the game from 2019. First won gold at the district level and then established its dominance at the state level. After this, after winning a medal at the national level, he claimed a job at the centre.
This is the result of double efforts of Yashwant: Coach
Yashwant’s mentor has been a former national player. Speaking to Local 18, coach Haris Tausif said that it took us both a long time of 5 to 6 years to get here. We were training Yashwant, but he was working twice as hard. Due to financial constraints, he used to work as a part-time gym trainer and trained himself in the evenings.
Yashwant gave credit to family and Guru
Talking to Local 18, Yashwant said that this achievement was achieved due to 6 years of hard work. The last 6 years were very challenging and doing two shifts in a row was very tiring. It took a lot of work to train in the morning for the money and then train for me in the evening. Apart from parents and teachers, Bihar Federation has played an important role in this journey.
