Tomato Prices Today: Tomato prices have skyrocketed. The cheapest tomato in the country was sold at Rs 29 per kg in South Salmara on Friday, while the people of Mayabandar are yet to get relief. According to the statistics given on the website of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, the price of tomatoes in Mebandar was Rs 220 per kg. As for other parts of the country, tomato prices in most cities have come down by Rs 180 compared to the beginning of this month.
The retail price of a kg tomato in Bhind on Friday was Rs 60 per kg, while it was selling at Rs 240 per kg earlier in the month. Similarly, tomatoes have become cheaper by 125 rupees in Bareilly, 110 rupees in Ghaziabad, 105 rupees in Mathura, 100 rupees in Gorakhpur.
