South superstar Rajinikanth has met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence in Lucknow. Rajinikanth reached Lucknow on the night of August 18, Friday, for the screening of his film ‘Jailor’. UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was also involved in this special screening. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth was happy about the positive response his film is getting from the audience and its success.
“It is God’s blessing that the film is becoming a hit,” he told ANI. Earlier, Rajinikanth was in Ranchi, Jharkhand. On Friday, he visited the famous Chinnamasta temple of the state and offered prayers. He spent an hour in meditation at ‘Yagoda Ashram’ in Ranchi. After this he met Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan.
UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya praised Rajinikanth’s acting skills and said, “I also got a chance to watch the film ‘Jailor’. I have seen many movies of Rajinikanth and he is so talented that even though there is not much content in the film, he adds importance to the film with his performance.
Released in theaters on August 10, ‘Jailor’ has created a sensation at the box office. The film’s eight-day total collection in India is Rs. 235.65 crore (as on August 17). The film was released in several languages including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
In ‘Jailor’, Rajinikanth plays a man who wants to avenge the death of his policeman son. Mohanlal, Shivrajkumar and Jackie Shroff also have cameos in the film.
