Security is tight in Haryana’s Nooh today following the announcement of a procession by Hindu organizations. The administration has not given permission to take out the procession. Internet services have been shut down in Nooh, along with Section-144, so that people cannot gather. Keeping security in mind, every vehicle going from Soh toll to Nooh is being checked, vehicle numbers are being recorded. People are being told not to go to Noah. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has also appealed to people to perform Jalabhishesh in the temples of their area.

The police seem to be well equipped to deal with any untoward incident in Noah. The district boundaries have been sealed. 675 officers and personnel of Haryana Police are manning the front, while three HAP battalions have been set up. Apart from this, thousands of paramilitary personnel are monitoring every movement in Noah city. The police have already barricaded before entering the city. Every action is being monitored by cameras at every barricade. Apart from this, Haryana Police personnel are being allowed to proceed only after stopping and checking every vehicle. There is complete silence in the streets. If someone tries to force their way into Noah City with their vehicle, snow-covered pigs are stationed on each block with police personnel to puncture the tires.
Internet, educational institutions and banks are closed in Nooh district today
Taking precautionary measures, the Noah district administration has ordered closure of educational institutions and banks on Monday. The administration has suspended mobile internet and bulk SMS services. It has also imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC, which prohibits assembly of four or more people in the area till Monday.
Communal clashes erupted in Nooh on July 31 after a mob attack.
Six people, including two home guards and an imam, were killed in communal clashes in and around Noah after a mob attacked a visit by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on July 31. The Sarva Jati Hindu Mahapanchayat had on August 28 given a call to reschedule the Brij Mandal Shobha Yatra in Nooh on August 13. The VHP has said that the Shobha Yatra will be taken out and no permission is required for such religious events.
CM Khattar’s appeal- Go to temples in your respective area for Jalabhishek
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said in Panchkula on Sunday in reference to the Noah violence that took place a few weeks ago that the ‘yatra’ was not allowed. “Instead of participating in the yatra, people can go for Jalabhishek in their local temples,” he said. He said that it is the state government’s responsibility to maintain law and order.” Please inform that the last Monday of the month of Sawan is August 28 i.e. today.
