Actor Rajinikanth met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence in Lucknow. The actor arrived in Lucknow on Friday night for the screening of his film ‘Jailor’. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was also present during the meeting between Rajinikanth and Yogi Adityanath. The actor touched CM Yogi Adityanath’s feet and took blessings. Rajinikanth was excited about the positive response his film is getting from the audience and its success. He told ANI, “…it is God’s blessing that the film is becoming a hit.”

UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya praised Rajinikanth’s acting skills and said, “I also got a chance to watch the film ‘Jailor’. I have seen many movies of Rajinikanth and he is so talented that even though there is not much content in the film, he adds importance to the film with his performance.
Earlier, Rajinikanth was in Ranchi, Jharkhand. He also visited the state’s famous Chinnamasta temple on Friday and offered prayers. He spent an hour in meditation at ‘Yagoda Ashram’ in Ranchi. After this he met Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan.
Released in theaters on August 10, ‘Jailor’ has created a sensation at the box office. The film’s eight-day total collection in India is Rs. 235.65 crore (as on August 17). The film was released in several languages, including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. In ‘Jailor’, Rajinikanth plays a man who wants to avenge the death of his policeman son. Mohanlal, Shivrajkumar and Jackie Shroff also have cameos in the film.
