‘Virat should retire after this WC’ sparks uproar over Shoaib Akhtar’s statement, Sourav Ganguly stops talking

I think he should play for 5 to 6 more years and break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 centuries. Kohli has the ability to break his own records. Sourav Ganguly does not agree with Shoaib Akhtar’s statement. Answering this to Akhtar, he said in a program, “Why? Virat Kohli should play cricket the way he wants to play it. Because it performs well.

Let it be known that Shoaib Akhtar has advised Virat Kohli to leave the format. Kohli has scored the most centuries in it. Virat Kohli has scored 46 centuries in ODI cricket. He has scored 1 century in T20 and 29 in Test. His average has been very good in ODI cricket as well. While Kohli averages 49 in Tests and 52 in T20s, on the other hand he averages 57 in ODIs. Virat currently has 76 centuries to his name. He needs 24 more centuries to break Sachin Tendulkar’s record. Kohli recently completed 15 years in international cricket.
