Pakistan captain Babar Azam is rarely seen in anger. His image is that of a great captain, but Babar was visibly angry after the second ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan. Pakistan won the match by one wicket and just before the last ball of the match, Naseem Shah hit a four to give Pakistan the victory. In fact, the last over of the match was quite dramatic. Pakistan scored 290 for 8 in 49 overs and needed 11 runs from the last over to win. Naseem Shah was at the crease with Shadab. Pakistan scored a total of 16 runs in the 49th over, of which Shadab Khan scored 10 runs off the last two balls. Shadab was playing scoring 48 runs. On the first ball of the last over, Shadab was at the non-striker’s end and Naseem Shah was on strike.
Fazalhaq Farooqui had run out Shadab in mankding fashion at the non-strike end before he bowled the first ball. A win from here was looking very difficult for Pakistan, but after this Naseem Shah did what he has done before against Afghanistan.
