Washington: Mysterious objects are often discovered in the sea, recently scientists have confirmed the existence of a new species. He is being described as an alien with 20 arms. Scientists have named it the ‘Antarctic Strawberry Feather Star’. But it doesn’t look like strawberry at all. He lives at the bottom of the sea, he lives there on the strength of his claws. The scientific name of this creature is Promachocrinus fragarius. Fragarius comes from the Latin “fragum”, meaning strawberry.
This new species was discovered during a research expedition in the Antarctic Ocean, where scientists went on a research trip. The explorers were pulling their nets out of the sea when they spotted this extraordinary creature. Details of the discovery have been published in the science journal Invertebrate Systematics.
Why are most of the world’s roads black, when was bitumen first used?
According to the journal, from 2008 to 2017, the scientific team conducted a series of investigations, focusing on the ‘Antarctic feathered star’ organism. Aquatic species are found at depths ranging from about 65 feet to 65,000 feet below the surface of the ocean. At the same time, Antarctic strawberry plume stars are often found at depths ranging from about 215 feet to about 3,840 feet. Although these newly discovered species are invertebrates like sea stars, there are many differences between the two.
